the mouse felt really cheap and the keyboard was more about design than functionality. Yup, I have been using it for nearly 6+ years and I've had very little issues with it. Logitech no longer sells this set, and I'm not sure which current product would be comparable to the MX Duo, but this wireless and keyboard mouse set has been near perfect since I bought it in 2003. I might consider the Apple wireless keyboard and magic mouse, but that's a HUGE maybe. It has been VERY durable and the batteries last forever in both the keyboard and mouse. I did try out the wired Apple keyboard w/num keypad and mouse and didn't like it at all. It's just hard to leave a keyboard and mouse as durable, ergonomic, and classy looking as the MX Duo I use it with my black macbook and external monitor so everything matches. If you do find someone selling a new set still in the box, I would suggest you jump on the deal.
I've had two sets of these for years now and I love them. One got a bunch of booze dumped in it at a party last week so I took it outside and hosed it real good. Let it dry for a few days and it's back to working great again.
Before this combo, I have the identical wired versions of the mouse and keyboard. This is by far the best keyboard/mouse I've ever used. The mouse works great for everything.
So I bought these, and I love them even more. It will hold it's charge for a few days of use, only about a day and a half if your using it constantly (I've tested that at lans, it outlasts me). I loved both of those, but wanted wireless.
I've used it daily for probably 4 years now and is still working fine. The keyboard is quiet and responsive, and the layout fits my hands nicely. The buttons at the top and be setup for quick launch of your favorite programs, and the added mousewheel on the side is nice when you wanna scroll but dont feel like reaching for the mouse.
The mouse buttons are laid out great, and work out nicely for hotkeys on online games. My only complaint is that if they ever stop working, I'll never find a suitable replacement.
I need my MX700 combo back. Alas, I spilled iced-tea on it a few days ago.
I've loved and adored it in the years since. I got this set from work as a prize for participating in some beta testing.
Seven buttons (eight if you count the wheel click) to play with is fantastic. The mouse alone is worth the price.
The design just begs to be held. I picked up another combo to replace it in a jiffy, but I hate it.
I'm ordering another one right now.
I bought this Duo package and I love both of them. I used to have the same exact mouse till it blew up after 6 years, but it was my fault. I have loved the mouse ever since I got it so I wanted to get a brand new one. The charger is upgraded from the one I got with my other mouse so like it a lot.and I am not complaining. If you like wireless, semi-simple, and plain keyboards.this package is the way to go, I recommend it.
